Katie Ondrejicka, known as Katie O, is a 20-year-old country singer-songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida.  Inspired by life where the palm trees meet the pines, her music blends the warmth of the country and the spirit of the beach. Rooted in classic country and southern gospel, her sound reflects her upbringing and the genre’s heritage. Along with uplifting energy and storytelling, Katie’s music feels like the endless Florida sunshine that is authentic and refreshing. 

 

Katie first captured national attention at just 15 years old after earning a Golden Ticket on American Idol Season 20, advancing to Hollywood Week. She later became a standout contestant on The Voice Season 26, where her performance of “One Way Ticket” earned an incredible four-chair turn. Throughout the competition, she was praised for her unmistakable country voice, with Reba McEntire comparing describing her as her twin, and Snoop Dogg calling her a “phenom.” Katie advanced through the Battles, Knockouts, and Playoffs, finishing as a Top 20 artist.

 

Since stepping on stage at just 11 years old, Katie has shared the stage with Rodney Atkins, Craig Campbell, High Valley, Trent Tomlinson, Linda Davis, Chuck Wicks, Canaan Smith, Glen Templeton, Big Smo, The Malpass Brothers, and many others, performing for audiences across the United States.

 

Her newest single, “Favorite Type of Weather,” captures the carefree feeling of sunshine, beaches, and leaving your worries behind, alongside previous releases “Airplane Mode” and “He Rescued Me.” Be on the look out for more new music this year!

 

When she’s not writing or performing, you’ll usually find Katie enjoying everything Florida has to offer—fishing, exploring nature trails, working out, or walking along the beach. Those experiences continue to inspire the music, positivity, and sunshine she shares.
